The reader
Using the IDOP reader in IDOP Cloud — opening files, prompts, saving, installing and the developer inspector.
Opening documents
Open an .idop file from your computer, from your IDOP Cloud storage, or from a template. The reader validates the file before anything runs. If it is refused, you see the error code and the rule that failed.
Permission prompts
If a document declares network capabilities, you see each one before the document runs: where it wants to connect, with which credential, and why. Choose Cancel, Allow once or Allow for this version. If a required capability cannot be met — for example, the credential it needs is not pinned to its origins — the document does not run.
Keys
Add API keys in the reader’s settings. For each key you choose the origins it may be sent to, and whether it is kept for the tab, the session, or the browser. Keys are not sent to IDOP’s servers unless you explicitly choose to keep a key on your account.
Saving
The indicator next to Save shows whether the document has unsaved changes. Saving writes a new revision into the file. If the file was changed elsewhere since you opened it, the reader will not overwrite it and offers Save as.
Installing
In Chrome or Edge, use the browser’s Install option. The installed reader opens .idop files from your system and keeps working offline once loaded. On Android, you can share files to it.
Developer inspector
The inspector shows a document’s versions, capabilities, storage and event log. It is off by default; turn it on in settings, or press Ctrl+`.
