IDOP Cloud: open, run, keep and share.

IDOP Cloud is the web platform for the IDOP format. It includes a validating, sandboxed reader, cloud storage for your documents, sharing by link, and forty templates to start from.

IDOP Cloud with the Kanban template open: four columns of task cards, a Save button, and the list of open documents.

§ 01The relationship

IDOP is the format. IDOP Cloud is where we run it.

Documents you make or keep in IDOP Cloud are ordinary .idop files. You can download them at any time, open them in any conforming reader, and keep them without an account.

Open

Open an .idop file from your computer — no account needed. The reader validates it completely before any of it runs, and shows you what it will ask for.

Keep

With a free account, keep documents and other files in your cloud, organised in folders, available on every device you sign in on.

Share

Share a document by link, with an expiry and an optional password, and withdraw the link whenever you like.

§ 02Templates

Forty documents to start from.

Budgets, trackers, planners, quizzes, boards and more — first-party templates published by IDOP LABS. Each one opens as your own file, with example content you can keep or clear.

§ 03Capabilities

What IDOP Cloud does today.

Validating reader

Every file is checked in full — structure, paths, limits, manifest, executable boundary — before anything runs.

Sandboxed execution

Documents run isolated from the application, from each other and from the network.

Permission prompts

A document that declares network access shows where it wants to go and why. You allow it once, for this version, or not at all.

Keys stay in your browser

API keys you add are kept by the reader and attached to requests on its side, only for the origins you pinned them to.

Explicit saves

Changes stay in a working copy until you save. Every save is a new revision, checked again before it is written.

Cloud storage

Folders and files in your account, including documents in other formats.

Sharing by link

Links with an expiry and an optional password, which you can revoke at any time.

Viewers for ordinary files

Open a .docx or HTML file through an IDOP viewer that receives only that one file.

Installable

Install IDOP Cloud as an app. In supporting browsers it opens .idop files from your system, and works offline once loaded.

Sign-in

An email account, or sign in with Google. Opening documents never requires an account.

§ 04Coming next

What is being built.

These are in progress. They are not part of the service until they are marked available here and in the changelog.

  • Connector for AI assistantsPreview

  • Paid plansPlanned

More storage, link controls and teams. The free plan stays. See pricing.

  • Visual editorPlanned

Build and change documents without writing code.

  • Document thumbnailsPreview

§ 05Privacy

No tracking. Your files are yours.

IDOP Cloud has no advertising and no behavioural analytics. We store what an account needs — your email address, your files and folders, the links you create — and we do not read or analyse the content of your files on our servers.

Documents you open from your own disk are processed in your browser and are not uploaded. Requests a document makes with your permission go from your browser directly to the service you allowed.

The details are in the Privacy Policy and on the Security page.

Open IDOP Cloud. It is free to start.

IDOP Cloud runs in the browser. Start from a template, open a file you were sent, or keep your own — no installation, and no account needed just to open a document.
